Dr. Elisia Clark
Elisia received her yoga teacher training through Dhyana Yoga in Philadelphia. During her time of teacher training, she was challenged to identify how she could make yoga accessible to all bodies and was immediately drawn to the mission of Yoga 4 Philly to make love, healing, and peace accessible through yoga and meditation.
Elisia believes that what we experience on the mat can translate to how we exist in everyday life. As a yoga instructor, she aspires to cultivate a space of self-awareness and acceptance and provide an experience that energizes and strengthens the body while challenging the mind. Her teaching style is a combination of ashtanga and vinyasa with a rhythm and dance-like flow.
In addition to being a yoga student and teacher, Elisia is a research scientist studying neurodegenerative diseases. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Ph.D. in Pharmacology.
