Yoga Sharer
Heather Sizemore
Heather’s understanding and approach to wholeness is simple: everything we experience is an opportunity for us to go further in. Experience have given Heather the opportunity to connect with herself and others; examine and release some of the unrealistic health and wellness ideas and beliefs held onto for so long; and also see the opportunity to possibly help others. Heather has been studying yoga for over 18 years and has been a dancer for over 39 years. Along with teaching Yoga, she also teaches movement and dance classes for all bodies and abilities. Heather loves reading, good coffee, good pizza and exploring new terrain. She had been in recovery from active addiction for over a decade and is also active in the recovery community. She is an active volunteer with the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund and The ACLU. Heather is a professional photographer and nursing student living in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia.
Heather writes, “I came to learn about Yoga 4 Philly through its President, Steven Brice. We were assigned as “buddies” while volunteering with the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund, and through reaching out to each other, we’ve discovered a shared foundation in Yoga. After a few shared conversations, Steven took one of my classes, and here we are now…talking the talk and walking the walk!”
