Ash “Kandi” Francis

Born and raised in Philly, with old-fashioned parents, mindfulness was not a concept I knew of early in life. I first learned about mindfulness techniques & spirituality from my very first therapist I sought out after graduating highschool. It’s been 8 years since mindfulness techniques such as meditation and yoga have been introduced to me— and since then, I have been inspired to dive deep into the world of wellness so I can help others as my first therapist helped me. I am now a certified group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and meditation teacher. Each year I progress in my passion for wellness as the various modalities have aided my mental health struggles. 

I was drawn to Y4P, IMMEDIATELY, after taking my first community class at Lovett Memorial Park in Mt. Airy. I LOVED that they offered donation-based classes, making yoga, and overall mindfulness, accessible to all— I personally have been in & out of financial struggles, so I truly respect their ability to create such a space. I now look forward to growing w/ them as I soon become a yogi, life coach, and hopefully more qualifications to come!
